Providing tax compliance and consulting to Japanese manufacturing, distribution, tech and services companies with U.S. subsidiaries
Aprio Advisory Group, LLC
Who I work with
I work closely with the CEOs, CFOs and controllers of United States-based subsidiaries of Japanese companies. I am well-versed in the manufacturing, distribution, technology and service industries, and I’m equipped to serve companies of all sizes — from startups to multinational corporations with over $500 million in revenue.
My specialty
I specialize in advising Japanese companies interested in establishing operations in the U.S., in addition to companies that already have subsidiaries in the States. I focus on providing corporate and individual tax compliance and consulting and assist with tax provision calculations on financial reporting engagements.
Results I have delivered
From answering tax questions and issuing notices to researching laws to identify savings opportunities, I have built deep technical knowledge that makes tax compliance easier for inbound foreign companies. Outside of the technical arena, I also help Japanese companies successfully navigate cultural and language differences when setting up operations stateside.
Unique things about me
I was born and raised in Japan. I had never been to a different country until the day I came to the U.S. for college!
When I am not at work
I enjoy spending time with my family, trying out new restaurants and going on road trips. Fun fact: when I moved to Atlanta from Los Angeles, we spent about a week driving over 2,500 miles with our six-month-old baby and stopped by several cities on the way. It was a trip I’ll always remember!
