Who I work with
I lead West Coast operations for Aprio. In my client work, I advise individuals relocating to the United States or overseas, family offices investing abroad, US businesses structuring international operations and foreign businesses establishing operations in the US. If you are a CEO or CFO of a foreign business with revenues of $5 million or more, and you are planning to establish operations in the US, let’s talk.
My specialty
I help people and companies navigate the complexities of international taxation. My specialties include cross-border tax planning and compliance and wealth planning strategies for clients with complex international holdings. I have significant experience working with a broad range of international tax matters, including entity selection for foreign joint ventures; dual-status entities and transfer pricing to PFIC compliance; IC-DISC; controlled foreign corporations; and international trust and estate planning.
Results I have delivered
International tax law can get complex; however, in its complexity lies opportunity. I advised a manufacturing client to establish an IC-DISC and guided them to factor their accounts receivable functions through that entity, saving them $140,000 per year in taxes.
Unique things about me
I perform with a local improv troupe and occasionally do stand-up comedy. I also enjoy brewing IPAs.
Accolades I have earned
Confirmed by US Department of Commerce to Exec Committee, Northern CA District Export Council

When I am not at work
I love to travel. I’m also a sports fanatic and passionately follow the Yankees, New York Rangers, New York Giants and the Warriors. I have two Golden Retrievers, and my wife and I spend time hiking with them on weekends.
