Overview
As Chief Operating Officer, Matt leads the development and execution of operational strategies that promote efficiency, organic growth, innovation, and outstanding client service. Working closely with the CEO and executive team, Matt oversees day-to-day operations, implements the best practices, and empowers teams to achieve Aprio’s goals. Matt is dedicated to continuous improvement, collaboration, and delivering exceptional value for clients and the organization.
Experience
With over 20 years of experience, Matt served as an advisor to high-growth organizations from startup to exit, and worked closely with CEOs, CFOs, shareholders, business owners, and controllers. Matt has advised clients in over 10 industries with a combined estimated market capitalization in excess of $2.5 billion. Prior to his current role, Matt served as Assurance* Practice Group Leader, where he gained extensive experience in managing assurance operations and driving process improvements.
Education & Affiliations
Matt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame. His professional and community affiliations include the AICPA, GSCPA, INCPAS, and IIA. He is a former Board Member & Treasurer for Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter and former Board Member & Executive Committee Member for Earthshare of Georgia.
