As the Assurance* Practice Group Leader at Aprio, Matt advises clients in accounting, reporting, compliance, and internal control matters. His principal focus is clients within the real estate sector, but he also works with clients in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, construction, and professional services and transaction processing industries.
Experience
With 20+ years of experience, Matt serves as an advisor to high-growth organizations from startup to exit, and works closely with CEOs, CFOs, shareholders, business owners, and controllers. His specialties include advising clients on financial best practices, mergers and acquisitions, financial and tax reporting, business strategy, and internal controls. Matt has advised clients in over 10 industries with a combined estimated market capitalization in excess of $2.5 billion.
Education & Affiliations
Matt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame. His professional and community affiliations include the AICPA, GSCPA, INCPAS, and IIA. He is a Board Member & Treasurer for Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter, and Board Member & Executive Committee Member for Earthshare of Georgia.
