Who I work with

I work with executives and business owners of mid-market and early-stage technology companies. I’ve provided audit, financial reporting and technical accounting services to clients in a wide variety of industries serving businesses of all sizes from pre-revenue to multi-billion-dollar SEC registrants.

My specialty

My specialties include audits, compilations and reviews, complex debt/equity structures and technical accounting. I excel at providing clients with simple explanations to complex accounting matters such as revenue recognition under ASC 606 and lease accounting under ASC 842. The experience I have gained serving businesses across a broad range of industries enables me to quickly understand new business models and my clients’ technical accounting and financial reporting needs.

I have led or conducted hundreds of audits, financial statement reviews, and other attest engagements across the course of my 25+ year career, enabling my clients to meet their reporting or other deadlines. I am proud to say I have achieved an outstanding client satisfaction rating of 90-100% based on recent annual Net Promoter Score surveys.

Unique things about me

I love traveling and experiencing different cultures. I have lived in four countries and speak fluent Swedish! I like listening to live music and have seen over 40 artists and bands in concert since 1987.

When I am not at work

I like to spend time with my wife and two daughters when not at work. We ensure we have at least two major trips each year and usually spend 3-4 weeks overseas.

I earned my Master of Arts Degree in International Relations from the University of Keele, and my Bachelor of Science degree in Monetary Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. I am a Certified Public Accountant in Virginia and Maryland, as well as being a Fellow Chartered Accountant in England and Wales. My past professional and community service includes:

  • Co-Chair – Northern Virginia Technology Council’s Small Business & Entrepreneur Committee 2017-2019
  • President, Vice President, Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer of Tysons Corner Children’s Center 2010-2017
