Kevin McAdams
Tax Partner
Aprio Advisory Group, LLC
Who I work with
Most of my clients are in real estate, often owners or developers of multifamily or commercial properties. I also continue to work with closely held businesses, construction, private equity, logistics and manufacturing and distribution industries.
My specialty
For 30 years I’ve been helping clients meet their goals, solve their problems, and often when there’s no “playbook” for guidance. More specifically, I’d call myself an advisor to those in the real estate industry, providing guidance on everything from partnerships and restructuring to tax and operations.
I know how critical trust is with an advisory relationship, and it’s the most important in my professional relationships. The better I know my client, the better I can serve them. I look forward to being the first person you call when something comes up – and at Aprio, we have significant resources to support you in all stages of your life and business cycle.
Results I have delivered
I’ve saved clients millions of dollars through restructuring their entity and operational hierarchy leading to significant federal and state tax savings.
Unique things about me
I played high school and college baseball, and bartended at the famous Peabody Hotel in Memphis, TN. I met some incredible people through that role, including Billy Joel and Prince! My wife and I love to travel with friends and family, particularly the gulf coast and Caribbean. I’ve been tent camping (not glamping!) in state and national parks since I was a kid.
When I am not at work
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, the outdoors camping/hiking, grilling on the Traeger and exercising. I especially enjoy volunteering in my community. As a Rotarian, helping people is something I am extremely passionate about. My favorite event is the annual rodeo our club has sponsored for over 70 years, held for three days each May. It’s all about raising money for those in need, and we typically raise over $400,000 at that event alone.
People say I am
Fun, measured, and calm. I like to have a good time, but I am also the one people call when everyone else is stressed, which is a role I enjoy!
