Who I work with
Jim is a tax partner emeritus, specializing in the real estate and construction industry at Aprio. He brings 37 years of real estate experience to clients, having worked with all aspects of real estate investment and operation, including domestic and international investors. He also works with developers in land, office, retail and residential development.

Jim is known for being responsive above and beyond the call of duty. He brings fast, creative solutions to companies, often solving problems considered unsolvable. Jim has saved his clients millions of dollars by reducing their tax liabilities. He serves as a trusted business advisor to many privately-held, real estate companies.
Affiliations
Jim joined Aprio in May of 2013, having previously served as founder and managing partner of JRZ, LLC and partner in charge of the national real estate tax group at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He started his career with Arthur Andersen. Jim earned his B.S. in Accounting & Finance from Marquette University and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. In his free time, Jim enjoys spending time with his family, buying cars and playing golf.
