Director, State & Local Tax | State and local tax advisor, state tax credits and incentives consultant, and state and local tax M&A due diligence specialist
Aprio Advisory Group, LLC
Who I work with
As a Senior Tax Manager in Aprio’s State and Local Tax (SALT) practice, I work with CEOs, CFOs and controllers representing businesses of all industries and sizes, from start-ups to mature companies.
My specialty
I help clients maximize state tax benefits and minimize tax risks and exposures. I use my SALT experience to help clients manage risks, improve profitability and grow their businesses with confidence. I perform nexus studies and create effective compliance strategies to manage and minimize the impact of sales/use tax obligations, risk and exposure. I conduct SALT due diligence and structure M&A transactions to maximize investment value. And I help clients reduce their tax burden by identifying all the tax credits and incentives they are eligible to claim (including film and gaming tax credits, jobs tax credits, etc.).
Results I have delivered
I enjoy advising and educating businesses on multistate tax matters. My tax research and consulting help the Aprio team achieve amazing results for our clients.
Unique things about me
I prefer the beach over the mountains and my wife and I honeymooned in Mai. When it comes to food, I will try anything once. I am a huge music fan and I love attending live concerts and music festivals. I also play a bit of guitar.
When I am not at work
I love hanging out with my son. By happy accident he was born 2 weeks before the pandemic. Shelter in place for me meant diapers, feedings and playtime – and I loved every minute of it.
