Overview
Carrie is a partner of business valuation in the Valuation & Forensic Services group at Aprio. She has been performing professional valuations since 2004, and has provided a wide range of valuation services to clients in a broad range of industries, including but not limited to technology, distribution and manufacturing, construction, pharmaceutical, and professional services.
Experience
Carrie performs business valuation services for purposes including financial reporting, contemplated mergers and acquisitions, estate and gift tax planning, dissenting shareholders and other litigation, bankruptcy proceedings, and general business planning. She has also performed intangible asset valuations for financial reporting purposes. Her intangible asset valuation experience includes, but is not limited to, trade names and trademarks, customer relationships, customer contracts, franchise agreements, patented and non-patented technologies, software, off-market contracts, and non-competition agreements.
Carrie’s financial reporting valuation experience includes ASC 718, ASC 805, ASC 350, ASC 360, ASC 820, IFRS 3, IAS 38, and fresh start accounting. She also supports the firm’s audit* practice, having reviewed numerous valuations performed on behalf of the firm’s clients.
Prior to joining Aprio, Carrie was a member of KPMG’s Economic and Valuation Services practice and Arthur Andersen’s business, tax, and financial consulting practice.
Education & Affiliations
Carrie earned her Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in finance, from Fisher College of Business, the Ohio State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Finance from Fudan University, Shanghai, China.
