ATLANTA- Jan. 30, 2019 – Aprio, LLP, a full-service, CPA-led business advisory firm, today announced that it completed its acquisition of HPC on Oct. 1, 2018 and is relaunching HPC as Aprio Cloud. Aprio Cloud combines the breadth and depth of Aprio services with the innovative technology and cloud accounting expertise of HPC.
Aprio Cloud provides real-time financial insights to global entrepreneurs and small-to-medium SaaS, eCommerce and professional services businesses ready to benefit from today’s latest technologies.
Aprio Cloud brings together more than 50 best-in-class applications, from companies such as Xero, Bill.com, Receipt Bank, Karbon and Expensify, to create an industry-leading technology stack that is turn-key and customized for each business and its respective industry. The technology stack delivers anytime, anywhere financial information through data visualizations and dashboards, allowing clients to make smarter, faster decisions.
“With the acquisition of HPC, clients will get their nights and weekends back, no longer spending time on accounting. They will also receive timely reporting on their actual performance, allowing them to grow profits by making sound business decisions with real-time data,” said Richard Kopelman, CEO and managing partner at Aprio. “With Aprio Cloud, owners and managers can use real-time data and personalized advice to take their businesses to their next, all on a cloud-based technology platform that’s customized to meet the unique needs of the company,” he said.
Aprio Cloud, through HPC, was an early adopter of cloud accounting, becoming a Xero partner in 2011, just as Xero entered the U.S. market. In 2013, HPC achieved Xero Platinum Partner status. “Combining our market leadership in cloud accounting with Aprio’s highly-respected reputation, breadth of specialty services and global reach made sense for our business and our clients’ businesses as well,” said Bruce A. Phillips, founder of HPC. Phillips will serve as Managing Director and Partner of Aprio Cloud.
“HPC was one of the first members of Receipt Bank’s Accountant and Bookkeepers’ Program. They quickly became a Platinum Partner, proving their commitment to helping their clients be at the forefront of cloud accounting,” said Damien Greathead, Vice President at Receipt Bank. “I’m excited to see what’s next for HPC as they relaunch as Aprio Cloud and expand the services they offer,” he said.
The financial and accounting needs of small-to-medium businesses change across their business lifecycles. Aprio Cloud’s offerings scale as businesses mature, providing complete day-to-day financial support including virtual CFO services.
